Welcome, my name is Libby.
I have always had a connection to the natural, organic side of life. As I have grown and travelled, I have been able to further explore my passion for creating beautiful art with natural resources. Unlocking the fibres in a plant to create something new has been a way to connect with myself. Each piece created is an extension of me, an expression of my journey in the world at that time. My designs and materials change like the seasons.
Pieces are hand woven, all with natural fibres and plant dyes. Each piece is made with no real planning just acceptance of the journey, each is woven, stitch by stitch growing in an organic way.
My aim is beautiful art that has little to no negative impact on the environment and in turn also help the native flora by using invasive species in my work or occasionally using discarded plastic that would otherwise end up in landfill.
My hope for my work is that it will be loved for generations but also, when it is time, it can go back into the natural landscape to be one with the earth again.

Hand woven with raffia dyed with stinging nettle in 2 batches giving different colour results, onion skins and iron.
She is able to be opened and store little treasures.
This little basket is light and hardly noticeable when worn.
The necklace strap is adjustable and holds some brass beads and wood.
A gorgeous weathered wooden centre collected from Wooramel river WA. Raffia has been dyed with Stinging nettle and onion skins with iron.

These pieces are made strong and unique, though hair pins should be treated with kindness to keep them lasting.
